Ms Lungelwa Malotana opened the school in 1987. She was the first principal from 1987 to 1999. In 2000, Dr. Vithagan Rajagopaul became the Principal of the school after Ms. L Malotana had retired. He was the Principal of the school until the end of 2009. In 2010, Mr Mentile was the acting principal of the school and was appointed as the head master in 2011 to date.
Kukhanyile Public Primary is an inclusive school situated at the heart of a semi-urban area in the K, L, and M sections of site B in Khayelitsha. We offer Grades R to 7. Some of the school’s values include honesty, respect, accountability, competency and innovation.
