Welcome to Kukhanyile Public Primary School
It is great pleasure to welcome you to our school on behalf of the Governing Body and the staff in its entirety. Kukhanyile Public Primary is a place where children will always be welcomed and will always feel welcomed. The school was first opened in 1987, in the heart of a semi urban area in K, L, and M sections of site B, in Khayelitsha. Your child will therefore be joining a school rich in history and tradition. Our school motto is “LET THERE BE LIGHT”, which means “TO SPREAD WISDOM”. Our aim is to cultivate a happy parent body, staff and learners with the emphasis on quality education and self-development.
The teachers are committed and dedicated, ensuring that education of high standard is maintained. We are promoting and striving to create a “Growth mind-set”, by cultivating creative thinking and developing young minds. Our school is a full service school with English as a medium of instruction. The school endeavours to maintain an equitable balance between academic and well established extra murals. The effectiveness and success of our school as an educational institution is determined by the actual and positive involvement, personal input and abilities of our staff members, learners and parent community.
